Internal VIA EPIA™ Version of the IR Receiver

Combining following advantages EPIA™ mainboards are very suitable for multimedia PC solutions:

- noiseless due to (mostly) no need of fans.
- small measures
- small power consumption (~ 15 W idle and 22W for e.g. videoplay)
- clearly smaller costs than most other PC solutions.

This version of the IR receiver is compatible to most EPIA™ mainboards.
Please check your mainboards manual (download at link below) for the pin layout.
Mainboard and receiver are compatible if it fits to the diagram.
It is necessary to measure the voltage between Pin 5 and 7 since newer versions of the board (after mid 2005) use 12V insteed of 5V! We offer receivers for both versions but need your confirmation about which one you want to order. Please note that with your order! To measure the voltage the software (LIRC) needs to run.

The plug of the 60cm /23.6 inch cable is connected to the onboard connector COM2.
The PC case needs a 4mm / ~ 0.158 inch drilling hole where the sensor is fixed e.g. with hotglue.
